Okay, so this isn’t really about a new treatment per se, it’s more about finding more efficient and less time consuming ways to tackle hair on wash day. In the early days I used to roll my eyes at girls who would claim wash day did in fact take up the whole day. I rolled my eyes because obviously there was no way washing ones hair could take more than twenty minutes… or so I thought. It wasn’t until I started researching hair treatments and started taking my hair growth seriously that I realised: yes, wash day does in fact take up the whole day. while for the most part I don’t particularly mind spending a whole day focused on my hair, leaving my DIY sunflower oil concoction in for an hour before rinsing out with conditioner (on an easy day or shampoo when it’s time to remove build-up), waiting for my hair to dry a bit before doing a deep condition, leaving it on for about an hour AND THEN rinsing that out and allowing my hair to dry (which is the main reason why wash day takes up the full day); there are some days when I can’t be bothered for all of that. So, after a bit of research, I discovered a way I can cut my wash day in half (or at least not spend half the day waiting for a treatment to set in), which I’ll be trying out tomorrow – wooo! This method is basically just doing everything in reverse starting with a deep condition and/or hair mask, leaving it in for half an hour, then rinsing it out with shampoo and conditioner. While not exactly revolutionary, and I’m sure I’m not the first to talk about it, I’m intrigued as to how my hair will come out after doing my regime in reverse.
Make sure you check back soon when I’ll be sharing the experience.
