A couple of weeks ago, I shared products from my recent hair haul (you can also see more in this YouTube video). Amongst the items was the Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Olive Oil Deep Conditioner. As I mentioned in my YouTube video, I had no idea that Palmer’s even sold hair products, so when I saw this deep conditioner on the shelf I knew I had to buy it. I’m a massive fan of the Palmer’s Cocoa Body Scrub and have featured it on the blog a couple of times, so I already had kind of high expectations for this conditioner.
First impressions
One of the very first things I noticed about the conditioner was that it immediately made my hair feel super soft (which doesn’t always happen). After rinsing, I also noticed that my hair was even softer, and felt light, tender and feathery. Usually, after washing my 4c textured hair, it can feel a little gritty and frizzy, but that was not the case this time. My hair felt so much smoother than usual and much less frizzy too!
Despite having quite a runny consistency which made it a little tricky to get out of its small sachet, this deep conditioner was easy to apply. It had lots of slip, so made quickly detangling my hair very easy and straightforward.
As first impressions go, I really liked this olive oil deep conditioner. I should note that there was not a whole lot of product in the sachet which caused some slight difficulties for me and my thick, densely packed hair. I underestimated how much conditioner there was and ended up running out about halfway through my head. In the end, I had to supplement it with my OG Vitale Olive Oil Hair Mayonnaise.
Will I buy again?
Yes, I would definitely buy this olive oil deep conditioner again. That said, I would buy two or three sachets – maybe even four – on account of one sachet being nowhere near enough to cover my thick hair. The next time I’m in the hair shop, I’ll keep an eye out for a tub or larger-sized packets.
