Truth be told I haven’t washed my hair in a few weeks *cough*a month*cough* (which says a lot considering that I only wash my hair once a fortnight away, but I’ve got a post about this in the works so stay tuned for that), in [big] part because of laziness, timing being off, and the whole washing schedule just not working out. So when I realised that I HAD to wash my hair last weekend (despite it not being the designated Saturday), I knew I needed to give my hair some special treatment. Looking through my hair box, I came across a few products I’d gotten in my last hair haul and settled upon the ORS Olive Oil Replenishing Pak, a deep conditioner that promised to increase moisture and repair damaged hair. Now, although I hadn’t been washing my hair, I had been diligent in my moisturising and taking care of my hair so I knew it wasn’t lacking in too much except from a good clean.
As my hair was in need of extra attention (and I had used up my laziness chips) I went old school, forgoing my favoured Lazy Girl Methods for rinsing my hair thoroughly first with cool/cold water to rid some excess dirt first, before going in with my Crème of Nature coconut and sunflower detangling shampoo.
Once done, I applied the conditioner which surprisingly smelt of limes to my hair. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite cover my whole head so I had to massage a lot of the product to get it to spread more evenly.
After half an hour under my plastic cap (the packet said to only leave on for 5-10 minutes but I got distracted) and another cool/cold rinse, I could feel such a difference in my hair. Not only did it feel clean, but my hair and scalp felt so fresh and clear, moisturised and soft; which even lasted until the next day!
I know I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again: sachets are amazing. Convenient, cheaper and completely effortless, sachets make washing hair that much easier because you don’t have to worry about how much product you’re using or what to do with the remaining bits. So will I buy this sachet again? Yes. It’ll make a nice change whenever I’m looking to try something different for my hair, it smelt really nice, and most importantly, I really loved how it made my hair feel afterwards.
