When it comes to body lotions and moisturisers, there’s one product that I think is truly underrated: the Nivea Soft Cream.
What to love?
Thick, moisturising and smooth, its all-purpose formula makes it a wonder product for many body parts. And as someone who is very picky when it comes to moisturisers, this is the only body cream that will actually keep my skin feeling well-nourished and moisturised for the whole day – trust me, there’s nothing worse than your skin feeling paper-dry halfway through the day – which is a must for those of us who are prone to ashy skin. I’ve also found its thick and creamy consistency means it not only coats the skin, leaving you with a glowy finish, but it also penetrates deep into the layers.
The Nivea Soft Cream also wins extra points when you consider its ingredient list and formulation. A couple of years ago when I was researching the best gentle face cream to use when wearing acids, I came across many videos talking about the chemical makeup of the moisturiser and how it shares many similarities with the La Mer Creme de La Mer.
As I mentioned before, this cream is great for different parts of your body. I like to use this all over (practically everywhere other than my scalp). I will always use this to moisturise my body and cream my hands after washing throughout the day. I’ll also use this on my face, depending on how I’m feeling and what products I’m using.
I love this moisturiser so much that I have the 75ml tube in every single one of my bags, two (almost empty tubes) on my desk and a spare in case I run out, not to mention the 200ml tub I keep on my dresser for everyday use and another spare in storage.
Where to buy the Nivea Soft Cream?
While you can get this from practically anywhere, the best place to buy the Nivea Soft Cream is Sainsbury’s. The 200ml tub is no more than £6 and the 75ml tube is only £2.35, a stark contrast to how much places like Boots and Superdrug sell them for.
I honestly don’t think I’ll ever stop using this moisturiser because I love how it makes my skin feel and look all year round.
Have you tried the Nivea soft cream? What do you think of it?
