As you guys can probably tell, I have quite the nail varnish collection. While some people collect stamps, shoes or bags, I collect nail varnish. It wasn’t something that happened intentionally, but over the years my collection has grown from one polish to several, and I’ve often found myself running out of space. This is a post I’ve always wanted to write, but never really got round to so, when MakeSpace asked me to share how I store all my nail varnish I practically jumped at the chance. So today I’m going to be showing you guys part of my nail collection and how I store them.
Storage is really important and is something everyone should think about because a lot of things have specific storage instructions that will help prolong the life of your beloved items. Over the years, what I’ve found is that how you store things isn’t as important as WHERE you store them.
I got this wicker basket (it came in a pack of two) back in 2011 but only started using them to store my nail varnish two years ago. Before that I used to keep them in a pink box where it was hard to always keep an eye on them. When I was living at uni, I used to keep my nail varnish on display on my shelf, which was great because then I could see them every day and it made deciding on colour that much easier. Keeping my collection in a basket like this is such an easy way to store them and helps them last longer as the basket is easy to keep away from heat and sunlight.
But, if you need to store something a little bigger than your nail varnish collection, MakeSpace might be for you. MakeSpace is a full service storage facility that offers free pickups*, delivery services, free MakeSpace bins and so much more. They are currently located in New York City, Chicago, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles; with new locations opening in Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Northern Virginia and Maryland. Depending on the amount of storage you need, they can help you out. With spaces from 2″x2″ to 10″x10″!
For all my American readers, make sure you check out MakeSpace’s site to find your nearest location and more information.
