It feels like forever ago since I bought the Fresh Vitamin Nectar Glow Juice Antioxidant Face Serum, but now after months of sitting in a box, it’s finally seeing the light of day aka my face lol. At the time I bought this serum, I was actually using the Avon Anew Vitamin C Radiance Maximising Serum, and as I only like using one product at a time, I wanted to wait until I had finished with it before starting on something new.
First Impressions
As a fan of the Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy Boosting Face Mask, I had a slight inkling as to what this serum would be like. I was expecting it to smell fruity and delicious, and to leave my skin looking glowy and radiant. And guess what? It did that and so much more.
This Glow Juice Antioxidant face serum smells like a fruity, citrusy dream – think oranges, lemons, mango – but surprisingly, it’s not super overwhelming. In fact, once it’s been absorbed into the skin, the smell pretty much disappears. I should also add that even though this serum is described as a juice, it’s not sticky at all (unlike the Avon vitamin c serum that I found could be tacky at times).
One thing that I was not expecting from this serum though, was for it to be hydrating. Now, you guys know all about my dry skin, and how I need products that will not only hydrate the surface layer of my skin, but that will also penetrate deep beneath. You also know that I swear by the Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Serum that really helped turn my skin around, but as luck would have it, right around the time I started using the Vitamin Nectar Glow Juice Antioxidant Face Serum, my rose serum finished before I could replace it. This Glow Juice kept my face hydrated throughout the day. To apply, I start with a small blob on the back of my hand, which I distribute around my face. Then, after I’ve finished moisturising (and before sunscreen), I apply a small blob to each cheek, forehead and chin, for lasting hydration.
About The Serum
According to Fresh, this serum promises to work wonders to your face. Bursting with over 480,000 nutrient-rich microbubbles (wow that’s a lot), your skin gets the essential dose of nutrition it deserves. But don’t just take Fresh’s word for it. Over a course of four weeks, sixty participants used the serum and found:
98% noticed their skin immediately looked healthier – I can vouch for that
95% noticed their skin was immediately energised and smooth – and this
93% noticed their skin was immediately nourished and recharged – this too
97% said the skincare they applied afterwards absorbed better – and this
With an ingredients list that boasts vitamins C, E, B5, lemon and orange fruit extract, minerals, ginger, jicama root juice (this helps hydrate and revitalise skin), chicory root (like vitamin D and helps moisturise and protect the skin), beta-carotene (a powerful antioxidant similar to vitamin A), and coconut oil, is it any wonder that this serum was destined for greatness. I’m really excited to see the long term effects of using this face serum over the next couple of weeks (sadly I’m already halfway through my bottle).
Check out Fresh’s website for more details about this serum.
Anything Else?
For me, I’d say the only bad thing about this serum is that it doesn’t come in a bigger bottle. From looking at the site, you can buy either one 15ml bottle or three bottles with a total of 45ml.
Using this serum has reminded me of how much I love the Vitamin Nectar range, and is encouraging me to try out other products from the collection. As always, I’ll be keeping you posted on how this serum works out and I’ll return with a follow-up Empties post when I’ve finished using it.
In the meantime, keep an eye out on my YouTube channel as I have a video coming soon!
