I’ve been using the Fresh Seaberry Skin Nutrition Cleansing Oil for well over a year and it honestly one of the best skincare decisions I’ve ever made. After switching from face wipes to this miracle oil cleanser for removing my makeup a while ago, I haven’t looked back. Sure now removing my makeup may take up to fifteen minutes, but I’d say it’s definitely worth it. If you’ve been following the blog or my YouTube channel, you’ll know that this oil is the holy grail of cleansing oils, and I am OBSESSED. At £34, I’d say the price is about average for an effective oil cleanser.
How It Works
The Fresh Seaberry Skin Nutrition Cleansing Oil works by gently cleaning the skin to remove impurities and makeup. Eight nourishing oils and extracts are blended to cleanse the skin whilst maintaining its natural oils.
The oil works as a two-step process. Step one involves the oil, which collects all the dirt, grime, pollution, oil, makeup etc. from the day. Step two uses water to emulsify the oil, which removes the gunk from your face. Think of it like using a lint roller to clean up old jumpers and coats. The oil in step one is like the sticky tape that collects all the dust and fluff from the surface. The emulsified oil in step two is like ripping the tape from the surface.
What I Love
There are many things I love about this cleansing oil. Firstly, I love how it leaves my skin feeling. Every use without fail leaves my skin feeling oh so soft, supple and plump. The smooth finish on my face is honestly something I live for. I also love how well cleans. Like a lot of Fresh products, this oil is very gentle and doesn’t irritate the skin. That said, even though it’s very gentle, it cleans thoroughly and effectively so you never have to worry about whether or not your face is clean.
It does an impressive job of cleaning my face and getting rid of my makeup – including all that mascara I like to wear. While you’d probably expect it to be drying, I’ve found that it’s not drying at all. In fact, I would say it’s very hydrating and nourishing. On days when my face is feeling excessively dry underneath my makeup, there is no greater feeling than massaging this beauty all over my face. It makes my face feel boosted and relaxed in an instant, and it such a great release.
Speaking of relaxation, I love to randomly use this cleanser even when I haven’t been wearing makeup. I think it’s great for facial massage, and I think could even be used over your whole body. On hot summer days, I’ll gently massage some of this oil over my face before doing the Fresh Rose Face Mask. My skin always feels so calm afterwards.
How I Use It
As mentioned above, I use this to remove my makeup. Before using this cleansing oil I always, ALWAYS wash and dry my hands. I then squirt four to five (sometimes even six) pumps into the palm of my hands, rub together and then massage onto my face. I like to massage my face for a couple of minutes, focusing on my cheeks, jawline and forehead, before starting on my lashes. You’ll see from any of my makeup removal videos how messy it can get as the black mascara spreads across my face lol. Once my face and eye makeup are removed, I run my hands under the tap and massage my wet hands over my face. After about a minute, I rinse my face with water. I then follow up with two cleansers (currently the Dudu Osun black soap and the Fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash).
I always travel with this cleansing oil. I use the mini sample bottle I got when I first tried the oil, and refill it from the larger bottle. I also always keep a second bottle handy because this is one product I would HATE to ever run out of. I could not recommend the Fresh Seaberry Skin Nutrition Cleansing Oil enough, and if you ask me, it’ll honestly be the best £34 you’ll ever spend.
