If you’ve been watching my recent YouTube videos, you’ll recognise this Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask from my latest haul. A couple of weeks ago, Fresh had a great offer where they let you choose three free face masks with a minimum spend amount. As a huge fan of their face masks (and wanting to a risk-free opportunist when it comes to trying new products), I obviously couldn’t pass this offer up. The three masks I chose were: the Rose Face Mask, the Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask and the Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask. Read on to find out my first impressions.
First Impressions
Even though I had seen this mask in a few Fresh emails and kind of knew what to expect visual-wise, I was still surprised at what it actually looked like in person. The mask is a grey/purple/white colour with green and reddish seaweed flecks, and tiny yellow-white granules.
I thought the mask smelt very green, kind of like the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser, and had a veeerrrrry light ocean smell to it. This is most likely from the seaweed extract, which helps to refine and smooth skin texture.

After Use
After using this mask, my face felt really clean, soft and fresh (lol). I’d used this mask after a week of my face feeling ragged and worn from pollution and makeup. I think the mix of small physical granules and the creamy seaweed combination helped clean and smooth the top layer of skin, leaving it refreshed.
According to Fresh,
97% said it immediately minimised signs of daily stress, like dull skin**
97% said it preserved their youthful-looking complexion**
100% felt it immediately created a clean, smooth canvas for the next skincare steps**
100% reported skin’s texture was improved and the skin’s surface was smoothed***

Though I’ve only used the mask a couple of times, these findings support my own experience with the mask as I had similar results.
After the first use, I had a feeling that this would easily become my new favourite mask from Fresh, and I have a feeling that I’m going to be right! I’m really looking forward to using this face mask more regularly.

Anything Else?
I honestly think that the small sand-like granules mean you get a gentle exfoliation that while nice, isn’t as deep as one you would get with the Sugar Face Polish. I would recommend this mask if your face is looking tired and you want to exfoliate but not do anything too harsh.
I really like the idea of a five-minute mask. As far as advised time limits on masks are concerned, you’ll know that I tend to keep them on for a bit longer. However, with this Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask, I know I can’t get away with that as the cream soaks up within five minutes. I like that it stops me from being lazy with removing masks.

Look out for my YouTube video coming out tomorrow to watch me using the mask for the first time. And make sure you check back in a couple of weeks when I share my final thoughts and review on the mask.
