When it comes to taking off my makeup, I'm very particular with what I use. For the longest time, I've been faithful to the Fresh Seaberry Skin Nutrition Cleansing Oil (trust me, it's UH-MAZ-ING), but a couple of weeks ago I decided to finally try out the @elemis Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm I received as a sample waaaay back in February.⁠

Today we called in the big guns because damn was my face feeling all kinds of PARCHED.

This @muradskincareuk Revitalixir Recovery Serum is just the ticket when your skin is dry (deep in the layers) and you want a quick fix of intense hydration. I always find that after slathering this beauty on my face, my skin feels 10x better.

Oh and how could I forget this serum is pink, luminescent with a glitter-like sheen AND smells of wine — winner, winner chicken dinner 💕

Nothing like a bit of red blush to make a natural makeup look really pop

In my latest youtube vid, I’m creating this makeup look using the @maybelline dream matte blush in “Burgundy Flush”. In a recent video I was saying that I wanted to mix up my blush and try other products, so after a bit of digging I rediscovered this Maybelline one.

I know that bright colours can be a bit intimidating, especially for dark skin, but I love how subtle yet lively this red colour is, and how well it goes with my skin tone. This is a great colour for darker complexions because it gives that natural flushed look without being too much. That said, if you’re into a “more is more” kind of vibe, then this build able blush gives you the opportunity to really pack it on

Truth be told this isn’t the first time I’m using the setting powder. I actually bought it a little while ago but after a disastrous first try (I’m talking having to remove my makeup and start again), I hadn’t used it since. Today’s video is very different to my regular videos because instead of talking about hair, beauty or skincare, I’m getting personal and talking about mental health, kpop, youtube and other rambly things. As I mention at the beginning of the video, I almost didn’t post this video but after learning that this Saturday (October 10th) is World Mental Health Day, I thought I should go ahead with the video.

In this video I talk about how September was a struggle for me emotionally, and how YouTube and Kpop helped pull me through those sad days.

Also, as if YouTube doesn’t keep me busy enough, I’ve decided to up my posting schedule from two days to three 😬 (for October anyway) So I’ll now be uploading on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays... wish me luck
