Can you tell that I’m really getting into my skincare? I also see now that it must seem like there’s been some kind of theme on the blog recently as this marks the THIRD face mask post in a row. I can assure you that it’s purely coincidental, and for those of you who didn’t even notice, well now you have hahahaha. Anyway, back to the mask. I got this a few weeks ago along with a bunch of other skincare goodies from Fresh. I obviously didn’t take a very good look at any of my purchases otherwise I probably would have noticed this much sooner, and would have already been using it.
This mask is said to work in sync with the skin’s natural nighttime recovery process to achieve a lifted, firmer look by the morning; and can be used as the last step in your nightly skincare regime. This is great news for me, whose nightly skincare regime consists of removing my makeup with a baby wipe and then calling it a day. I often found that my skin was left feeling super dry and striped of all of its natural oils, and not wanting to moisturise my face with any old thing, I had been on the lookout for a night cream (or mask).
This black tea mask from Fresh also has belle de nuit extract which not only aptly translates to Beauty of the Night, but helps to soothe and rebalance skin! The moment it touched my skin I could already feel the mask penetrating and starting to work its magic, though the taste and smell was a tiny bit gross. I thought the mask would rub off in the night and that my brand new pillowcases and covers would be smeared in the stuff, but when I woke up the next morning, not only was everything still clean, but I could still feel remnants on my face, with my skin feeling softer and firmer. Now I know I’ll have to wait more than a few nights to see any major results, but so far I’d give it two thumbs up!
So, would I buy it again? I actually got this as a sample, and with an eye-watering price of £77 it would definitely be investment. That said however, it would be an investment worth making.
