Last week I talked a little bit about the ORS Monoi Oil Anti-Breakage Curl Perfecting Buttermilk when I was sharing the types of product I use after washing my hair. This product has completely changed the way in which my hair acts post-washing and has changed the way products work in my hair.
What do I love?
In short, everything. It smells nice, it’s super moisturising and nourishing, it doesn’t dry my hair out, it’s packed with treats like monoi oil and omegas 3 & 6, PLUS my hair has honestly never been better.
Before I started using this buttermilk, I always found that no matter how much I creamed my scalp when it was wet after washing, my hair would still end up bone dry and a total pain to style. In the end, I stopped putting anything in my hair while it was wet because it seemed so pointless… But then I discovered this product and my life was changed forever. Now, I apply this to my hair while it’s still a bit wet, and I massage it deep into my hair and scalp, making sure to reallllly work it in. My hair always feels so soft and nourished. I then leave my hair to completely air dry before I put anything else in my hair. I’ve now found that my hair does not get bone dry, and it actually a lot more receptive to the products I use next (Blue Magic Tea Tree Oil Leave-In Conditioner, ORS Monoi Oil Anti-Breakage Leave In Conditioning Crème and Soft & Botanicals Ultra Nourishing Leave In Conditioner). These days I also like to use the buttermilk after giving my hair a nice coating of aloe vera oil.
Is there anything else to know?
I should also add that I’m yet to use this on dry hair so I’m not exactly sure how it feels when hair is not damp. Personally, because of its thick sticky goodness I imagine it could be a little too intense for dry hair. Using it with wet hair allows for it to have a bit more slip which is absolutely superb because there’s nothing worse than having a whole load of product in your hair that just won’t budge. All this said, if you have used this on dry hair, I’d love to know so leave a comment for me below!
What’s really great about this bottle is because I only really wash my hair twice a month, it manages to last me FOREVERRR (which is always nice).
So will I be buying it again? As you can see from the image above, I have indeed rebought; and I think I’ll be rebuying this whenever I run out.
