I had originally bought the NYX Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil as a replacement for foundation, but because it didn’t offer me the coverage I wanted, I switched gears and started putting it underneath my foundation.
What I Liked
- Flawless coverage
- First and foremost I absolutely loved the way this bb cream made my makeup look. As this was very lightweight, I used this as a base to help give me a more even complexion and to cover my dark spots. I found that wearing this underneath my foundation not only made my face look one smooth colour, but also helped keep my foundation in place throughout the day.
- Easy to use
- This cream was so easy to use.
- Blended well
- Now you guys know I prefer to use my fingers to apply my complexion products, but as I’ve moved on to liquid products, I’ve found myself using sponges a lot more. This bb cream blended out so well with my sponge
- Consistency was good
- This links to the point before about blending really well. At first, I thought this would be really runny, but it was actually thicker than expected.
- Quite a lot of product
- There is surprisingly a lot of product in this tube, so it was able to last me a lot longer than I thought it would. Also, because of its great consistency and blendability, I didn’t need to use so much. I would literally squirt a bit on to the back of my hand then use that for my whole face.
What I Disliked
There wasn’t a lot that I didn’t like about this bb cream. In fact, the only thing I disliked about it was that it didn’t offer as much coverage as I would’ve liked. But because the purpose of a bb cream isn’t to offer full coverage, I can’t complain too much. The only other thing I didn’t like about it was the shade. I found that Deep Sable is a taaad too light for me, meaning that even though it does help give me a more even and flawless finish when paired with foundation on top when worn by itself it makes me look washed out. But again, this isn’t really something to dislike about the actual product as I can always get a darker shade next time.
I also wish this had some SPF in it.
Will I Buy It Again?
About two weeks after I started using it, I bought another tube. Like I mentioned above, the shade was a teeny tiny bit off for me, so I think next time I’ll get the next shade up.
