A couple of months ago I received the Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask as a sample in a Fresh delivery. Known as the “5-Minute Mask”, this lotus face mask promises to instantly smooth, hydrate and leaves skin with a dewy radiant finish. Before I had received it as a free sample, I’d been seeing this mask EVERYWHERE in emails and on Instagram. So when I actually got it, I knew it was fate. Fast forward a couple of months and I’ve finally finished it. Read on to find out some of my thoughts.
What I Liked
- Quick and easy to use
- I’m known to keep my masks on for well over the designated time limit, but I’ve found that with this mask I really do only keep it on for five minutes. It’s the perfect mask to pop on your face while you have a quick evening shower or do some chores. Also, because the cream kind of disappears after five minutes, it’s a great indicator to tell you when it’s time to wash it off.
- Creamy and moisturising
- Like I mentioned above, this mask is creamy. Packed with kombu seaweed, red algae, sea fennel and a super 7 complex, this mask does an amazing job of keeping your skin hydrated and radiant. I found that my face always felt very moisturised and nourished, and radiant, thanks to these key ingredients.
- Smells great
- Ugh when I tell you that this lotus face mask smells great, I mean it! Its light, breezy ocean-like scent is really relaxing and not overpowering at all. Whenever I put this on, I feel like I’m in a spa getting a really luxe facial treatment.
- Gently exfoliates
- This face mask has really small granules made from lotus seed powder that gently exfoliate the skin. I found that even though the granules are small, they do a great job and cleaning the skin and mine always feels so soft and smooth.
Not much has really changed since I first used this face mask back in November. Like I predicted back then, this mask is definitely up there in terms of my favourite face masks.
What I Disliked
To be honest there wasn’t anything that I didn’t like about the mask.
Will I Buy Again?
As it turns out I actually bought this face mask a few months ago but completely forgot about it. So while I won’t be buying this mask again anytime soon, I’ll definitely be using it. Also, now that this mask has my seal of approval, I’ll be adding other Fresh Lotus products to my skincare shopping list.
