Wooo, only a few more of my samples left before I’ve tried them all. Today’s sample comes from Dax, but unlike the last sample I tried, this sample somehow managed to tick every box. Maybe I was in a better mood when I tried this particular sample, or maybe this particular sample was just a million times BETTER, I don’t know. But what I do know is that I LOVE LOVE LOVED this sample. Now let me tell you why.
First off, when I first opened got a peek at the colour, I thought it was orange (don’t ask me why), but then when I finally managed to get the packet open (it literally took me about ten minutes) I realised the product was actually black. (Go figure, considering it is called BLACK beeswax).
The next thing that got me was the smell. I can’t quite put my finger on what exactly it smells like, but it’s definitely a mix between castor oil, honey and something else. The smell isn’t particularly enticing (or even all that nice to be honest) but for some strange reason I really like it.

I found it funny that in my last Dax sample review I was going on about how I don’t like using petroleum (which I realise now I meant waxy textured products) based products because they’re really greasy and pore-clogging, and because I hate the way they make my hair feel like it’s got a ton of build-up/ how it makes my hair feel in general; but I would happily use a crate of this on my scalp. Though I’m not a big fan of hair wax, this one felt like it melted into my fingers and scalp, and didn’t feel too heavy or gross.
My final thoughts? Would I buy a full size tub of this? Hells yeah. Why? Because it’s something completely different from what I’m used to in terms of colour and scent, and because I have a feeling that melted down, this would make a great hot hair treatment.
