summer beauty essentials: summer beauty essentials: charlotte tilbury setting spray, caudalie sunscreen, caudalie foam cleanser, augustinus bader face mist, bondi sands body sunscreen, summer fridays lip butter balm, milk makeup hydro grip setting spray, estee lauder double wear foundation
Whether you’ll be in the office, wearing makeup or enjoying a picnic outside, these are some of the summer beauty essentials you need to help you survive the sunny season.
Augustinus Bader The Mist
We all love a product that can be used in more than one way, and this mist does not disappoint. You can count on it to keep you hydrated and dewy throughout the day, so you’ll want this mist handy on your desk for a re-up. because it tones, protects and soothes your complexion. But not just reserved for the day, this multi-purpose summer beauty essential can also be used at the start of your skincare routine after cleansing as a deeply hydrating toner. Other mists I think are worth looking into are the Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Mist and the Caudalie Beauty Elixir.
Milk Hydro Grip Setting Spray
Your makeup isn’t going anywhere with this setting spray. Formulated with blue agave extract, hyaluronic acid, aloe, niacinamide (vitamin b3), and a cannabis seed and moringa seed blend, this spray will keep your face looking glowy for up to 12 hours. However, as great as this is for ensuring your makeup can last the whole day, the smell really lets it down.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray
As an OG setting spray, not only does your makeup in place all day long, but it helps to refresh a tired-looking face. I’ve been using this setting spray for YEARS (I swear I go through a bottle a month) and can attest to how well it wears in extreme heat – I’m talking 35°C – and how intact your makeup can look by the end of a hot, sweaty day. So trust me when I say that with a couple of spritzes of this, you’ll be feeling right as rain. This also gets extra points for the lovely lightweight scent.
Estee Lauder Stay In Place Makeup
If you wear foundation and want something that will handle the heat of the day, but still give you a natural base, then look no further. There’s a reason why this Estee Lauder foundation has been a bestseller for decades it’s just that good. Promising to last over 12 hours, this matte finish foundation looks absolutely beautiful on the skin and has SPF10.
Bondi Sands SPF50+ Body Sunscreen Lotion
Everyone needs a thick sunscreen for their body and this one from Bondi Sands gets my vote. I’ve been using this sunscreen for over a year and love how well it applies to the skin without leaving a white cast. It absorbs pretty quickly and doesn’t transfer so you don’t have to worry if you’re wearing anything white. Sure it is a bit sticky and the smell isn’t the best, but I’ll always reach for this because it protects my skin during super-hot sunny days.
Caudalie Vinosun Very Lightweight Sunscreen SPF50
This is one of the few facial sunscreens I buy on repeat. Super lightweight, gentle, and hydrating with no white cast in sight, this sunscreen is a favourite. Don’t like sunscreen? I promise that this one will change your mind. Check out my YouTube review and blog post for more info.
Caudalie Vinoclean Instant Foaming Cleanser
After a long hot day spent in the sun or the office or even with a full face of makeup on, nothing beats cleaning the dirt, grime, sunscreen 😉 and the day off. This foam cleanser is insanely hydrating and non-stripping – a plus if like me you find foam cleansers to dry out your skin – smells heavenly and works wonders as a second or first cleanse. I love how effectively this cleanser takes everything off my face, to leave me with a clean canvas ready for my nighttime skincare products.
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm
And then finally, no summer beauty essentials list would be complete without something for the lips. So, calling all my dry-lipped peeps and lip balm lovers. This mega viral lip butter balm more than lives up to the hype as it’s insanely hydrating, super thick and lasts all day – by now I’m sure you’ve seen a theme with most of the products mentioned. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have any SPF, but it’ll still do a good job of keeping your lips nice and hydrated.
