A few weeks ago I shared the ultimate pamper pack I was excited to try, and today I’m sharing my thoughts on the creamy and revitalising jojoba hair mask. As I’m mad on my hair path, living under ‘I’ll try anything at least once’, the thing I was most excited to try in this pack was this hair mask. Before I used it, I did some research and found some cool stuff out about jojoba. It has a similar molecular structure as our scalp’s natural oil sebum, it helps strengthen hair fibres from the inside, it helps with dandruff and other dry scalp problems, it hydrates and repairs hair, encouraging hair growth and adds softness. I mean, is there anything jojoba doesn’t do? Before I bore you with all its benefits read about my experiences and thoughts below.
My hair had been feeling a little greasy from all the conditioner I’d been using, so I decided to give my hair a thorough wash with some camomile and aloe shampoo. A little side note, I usually only co-wash [only washing with condition] my hair, preferring to shampoo once or twice a month.
Once my hair was prepped it was time for the mask. The first thing I noticed about it was the smell. The smell was HEAVENLY and made me fall in love with the product immediately. I don’t know how to describe it accurately, but it had a coconutty scent to it mixed with maybe shea and camomile. The smell reminded of Paltas B.K.C. spray leave-in conditioner.
The next thing I noticed was the creamy texture that was thick but not too thick.
I separated my hair and proceeded to smudge the mask into my hair, making sure to work my way from the roots to the ends.
The pack advised to wrap the hair in a warm towel for fifteen minutes, but because I didn’t have a warm towel/ didn’t want my towel to get any product on it, I put my hair in a plastic shower cap then wrapped my towel on top of it.
Fifteen to twenty minutes later I combed through my hair with a wide-ish toothed comb then rinsed the mask out of my hair.

Normally when I do a treatment I like to moisturise my hair with a leave-in like Blue Magic to stop my hair from drying out, but after rinsing this mask out, my hair felt moisturised, nourished, super soft and revitalised. I simply put my hair into two big braids and left it for the evening, applying the tiniest bit of Blue Magic Tea Tree leave-in.
When I woke up the next morning, my hair felt just as moist and revitalised as it had done the night before. I absolutely LOVED this hair mask and I’m sad there was only one in pack. I honestly couldn’t recommend this hair mask again, and once I find out where it’s from, I’ll link it in this post. After this hair mask, I’m convinced that jojoba is the secret ingredient my hair has been missing all these years. Is jojoba a part of your hair care routine? I’ll be making sure to buy some jojoba oil so that I can make my own hair mask. Make sure you check back in the coming weeks for my thoughts on the other products in this pamper pack.
