Wow, I’ve really been talking about nothing but Charlotte Tilbury makeup for the last couple of posts, but I really can’t help myself. I swear Charlotte has this canning ability of knowing exactly what the girls want, when they might not even know yet themselves (hello 🙋🏾♀️, I am girls, hehe).
Anyway, almost one month ago to the day, I tried two new (to me) Charlotte Tilbury makeup products that seriously changed my life in a way I didn’t think possible. See what I mean about knowing what the girls want when they don’t even know it? Okay, hear me out.
I bought the new(ish) Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint Foundation that promises to blur and smooth for a “soft-focus skin glow” and the easy-to-use Beautiful Skin Island Lip and Cheek Tint aka the most beautiful glowy cream blush; and from the first moment I applied both to my face, I feel like I was transported to a whole new timeline where fresh faced glowy makeup was everything I could ever need. These weightless and buildable makeup products are the perfect transitional pieces to take you from summer to autumn, thanks to their hydrating formulas and skin-loving ingredients.

such a beautiful no-makeup-makeup/barely there summer pink makeup. I’ve honestly been dreaming about this look for weeks
What’s to love?
First of all, the foundation is so lightweight and glossy, you’ll feel like you’ve just stepped out of a luxury facial. Not only does the Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint Foundation leave you with THE most insane glow, it also offers a really natural finish, leaving you with that coveted “your skin but better” vibe that we makeup girlies are often searching for. This foundation is actually so skin-like it’s a kind of skin tint/tinted moisturiser/cc cream hybrid with sheer to light coverage. This foundation is also packed with great skincare benefits, such as hyaluronic acid and vitamin E to deliver hydration all day long. As the seasons change (and my face gets less sweaty and oily), I love dewy, hydrating foundations like this because they help keep my face moisturised when it’s super cold and windy outside. The glow from this foundation also helps offset the dull, grey days and makes me look naturally glowy.

and don’t even get me started on that colour match… I’m truly obsessed
Now for the blush, oh that gorgeous blush. The Beautiful Skin Island Lip and Cheek Tint in Pinched Cheek Glow, specifically, is the perfect shade for darker skin tones because it diffuses so beautifully and naturally into your cheeks. The tint is sheer but surprisingly creamy and shows up very well without being too overwhelming. I’ve been wearing this blush pretty much every day since the first time I tried it, and I cannot get enough. I love wearing it alone and pairing it with a powder for lasting staying power. Because it’s so sheer and tint-y, you get to customise how it (kind of) and can really apply a lot without doing a lot – if you know what I mean.

this blush is absolutely stunning

Things to know
While I love the Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint Foundation for its natural finish, if you’re looking for coverage, you’ll need to call in reinforcements. As someone who prefers a fuller coverage from her complexion products due to a few pesky dark spots, this foundation only does so much. I find that topping up with concealer (the Too Faced Born This Way and Pat McGrath Labs are firm favourites) or even a heavier-duty foundation (the Estee Lauder Double Wear is a surprisingly good addition) will help you get the coverage you need without sacrificing the mega-watt glow.
My Charlotte Tilbury makeup wishlist
Whilst we’re on the topic of Charlotte Tilbury makeup, I’ve got a list as long as my arm, full of products I really want to try.
So, like I say, these two makeup products completely changed my life (and makeup routine for the rest of the summer) and I’m looking forward to continuing my love affair with Charlotte Tilbury makeup well into the autumn and winter months. I’m also looking forward to discovering even more makeup that I didn’t know I needed. Until then, catch you later.
