It’s been a while since I’ve shared any new beauty bits, but it’s been even longer since I’ve bought anything from The Body Shop. When I first started this blog, I featured The Body Shop quite a bit, but then as I moved away from beauty and makeup content, my interest kind of fizzled out. However, I’m happy to share that I’ve been shopping at The Body Shop again and I couldn’t be happier.
For the longest time, I’ve been on the lookout for a game-changing body scrub, so when I received an email saying The Body Shop had 30% off, I knew it was time to revisit my old friend. The store had many different scrubs to choose from; from mango to coconut and moringa (!!), I was truly spoilt for choice. I ended up choosing the shea scrub, but I know that in time I’ll try out all the different flavours.
I also picked up a Body Polisher that works to exfoliate and smooth the skin. As we head into winter, it’s really important to make sure your skin is exfoliated to allow products to penetrate deeper and work harder, and to combat dryness. I love that their body polisher is made from nylon and recycled polyester, unlike other scrubs that are sometimes made from plastic. In the past, I’ve read that loofahs and other exfoliating tools can be a breeding ground for bacteria, but I’m not worried about that too much as this cloth can be machine-washed – result!
At the time of writing this post, I haven’t actually tried this body scrub yet, but I know by the time this post goes live I would’ve done. I can’t wait to try it and to share my first impressions with you. Stay tuned!
